2 Inst allation Before installing this unit, please read through the following point s: • Do not place cords from the AC adapter where they can be pinched or stepped on. • Do not place heavy objects on cords, or cover cords with rugs or carpet. • Never immerse any component in water , and do not spray cleaners of solvents on the unit.
3 Quick St art up Guide • Make sure your TV/Monitor is ON and set to the appropriate A V channel if required • Press the Power button located on the front panel of the DVR, the LED will illuminate Green it takes approximately 10 to 15 seconds to boot the system.
4 Setting the Date and Time Cont….. • Use the following buttons to set the correct Date and T ime (DA Y / MONTH / YEAR / HOUR / MIN / SEC) “ ▲▼ ◄► “ to move the cursor .
5 T o Stop Recording In the event you wish to stop recording press the “ MENU “ button located at the front of the DVR . • Move the cursor to “RECORD” and press, ”ENTER”.
6 Recording Options: Recording Times • This DVR is factory set to record “CIF Best Quality” at 3 frames per second, per camera, at a resolution of 352 x 288 pixels. This will provide approximately 4 weeks of recording time on this setting. Using Video Motion Detection or reducing image quality can achieve much longer record times if required.
