Operating Instructions 6 • Never place the dishwasher in ope ration if the mains cable, water inlet or drain hose is damaged; or the control panel, work top or plinth area is damaged such that the inside of the appliance is freely accessible.

Operating Instructions 10 Prior to using for the first time Prior to using for the first time, remo v e all the clips with which the dish racks are secured for transport. Then perform the following steps: 0 1. Adjust the water softener 2. Fill with Salt for the Water Softener 3.
Operating Instructions 11 Adjust the water softener to the ha rd ne ss o f t he wa te r i n y ou r a rea as stated in the table: 0 1. The dishwasher must be switched off. 2. Manual adjustment: Open the dishwasher door. 3. Remove the lower rack from the dishwasher.
Operating Instructions 12 Filling with Salt fo r the Water Softener 1 Use only salt designed for dishwash ers. Never fill the salt container with any another type of salt (e.g . culinary salt) or dishwasher deter- gent as this would irreparably damage the water softener.
Operating Instructions 13 Rinse Aid Rinse aid ensures that dishes emerge thoroughly rinsed and spot free while glasses are clear and shining. There are two ways to add rinse aid: • If you use detergent that already contains rinse aid, the detergent and rinse aid are placed in the detergent container.
Operating Instructions 14 Filling with Rinse Aid If you use separate detergent and rinse aid, fill up with rinse aid: – prior to using the dishwasher for the first time – whe n the indicator H is illuminated on the control panel. The rinse aid compartment is on th e inside of the dishwasher door.
Operating Instructions 15 Adjusting Rinse Aid Dosing 3 As the dishes are washed rinse aid is released from the disp enser into the wash water. The dose is factory set at 4, and can be adjusted from 1 to 6. Only change the setting if streaks, milky spots or dried on water marks are visible on glasses or crockery.
Operating Instructions 16 In Daily Use • Check the salt and rinse aid leve ls. • Load cutlery and dishes into the dishwasher • Fill with dishwasher detergent • Select a wash programme suitable.

Pull the upper basket out completely. 2. Holding the upper basket at the rear right, lift it as far as it will go and then lower it vertically.

Operating Instructions 23 Concentrated Detergent Based on their chemical compositio n, dishwasher detergents can be split into two basic types: – conventional , alkaline detergents with caustic components –l o w a l k a l i n e concentrated detergents with natural enzymes.

Operating Instructions 25 Start the Wash Programme 0 1. Open the door of the dishwasher. 2. Check that when the dishes and cutl ery are loaded into the dishwasher the spray arms are free to rotate. 3. Open the tap fully. 4. Press the ON/OFF button. The indica tor in the ON/OFF button illumi- nates.
Operating Instructions 26 Interrupting the Wash Programme (only in emergencies) 3 Interrupt a wash programme in progress only when it is absolutely necessary to do so. When the appliance is cl osed ag ain, the air tha t has entered the appliance is heated and expands significantly.
Operating Instructions 27 Load Sensing – Sensor Logic If a wash programme is started even though there are only a few dishes in the upper and/or lower rack, an in telligent electronic system adjusts the amount of water and the durati on of the wash programme to the number of dishes.

Installation and Connection Instru ctions 39 Leak Prevention System For protection from damage due to water leaks, the dishwasher is equipped with a leak prevention system, the AQUA CONTROL SYSTEM. In the event of a fault, the safety valve immediately interrupts the sup- ply of water to the appliance and the drain pump switches on.
Installation and Connectio n Instructions 40 Electrical Connection Any electrical work required to inst all this appliance should be car- ried out by a qualified elec tr ician or competent person. 1 WARNING - This appliance must be earthed.
